Bagasao Children’s Prayer Club: Dayak
From the Bagasao children:
Every week we learn about a different country or a group of people needing prayer. We study their situation and then pray for them throughout the week.
Please join us in prayer for the Dayak:
The Dayak people are animists, people who live in fear of evil spirits. They believe they have to give offerings to rocks and other things to appease the evil spirits that they think live inside them. The Dayak live in Borneo, Indonesia. They grow rice, rubber, and tobacco.
Christians are starting churches and schools for the Dayak. When they started trusting Jesus, some Dayak burned their charms. Others were afraid evil spirits would harm them because they burned them, but nothing happened, so some are not scared anymore. They followed Jesus too. Some whole villages are Christians, but altogether there are less than 3% Christians.
Please pray that they find peace through Jesus.
